BAH Basic Housing Allowance Calculator

BAH is based on geographic duty location, pay grade, and dependency status. The intent of BAH is to provide uniformed service members with permanent duty within the 50 United States accurate and equitable housing compensation based on housing costs in local civilian housing markets, and is payable when government quarters are not provided. If you are being stationed at any of the following bases Fort Eustis, Langley Air Force Base, Yorktown Naval Weapons Station, Fort Monroe, Camp Perry, Little Creek Amphibious Base, Norfolk Naval Air Station, NOB, Fort Story, Oceana Naval Air Station, Naval Weapons Station, Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Cheatham Annex, Coast Guard Training Center- Yorktown, Fifth Coast Guard District Portsmouth

For example as of 10/1/07 an E 8 with dependents would draw $1537 monthly in the Norfolk/ Va Beach Area.
